About Elbilad TV

Elbilad newspaper seeks to affirm Bahrain's Arab and Islamic affiliation and strengthen national unity while respecting the principles of democracy and political, religious, and cultural pluralism.

The first issue of Albilad newspaper was published on October 15, 2008, during a period in which the country witnessed a remarkable development in the field of media and journalism.

The newspaper also works to preserve national achievements and gains, support construction and development efforts, consolidate the values of freedom, justice, equality, and human rights, and participate in realizing the will of the people by emphasizing the principles of the National Action Charter and the constitution, and working together to protect its constitutional institutions.

Al-Bilad newspaper will represent a platform for free speech, a space for different points of view, an arena for purposeful and constructive criticism, an honest transmitter of the aspirations of society in its various categories and components, and a mirror reflecting Bahrain's civilized position and its distinguished economic position at the regional and global levels.

Perhaps the name “Albilad” bears great symbolism and meanings, which reflects the fact that the Albilad newspaper is the mouthpiece of the Kingdom of Bahrain, not only as a society but as a political entity known for its objective attitudes and orientations.

"Al-Bilad" newspaper began to be published daily, and today it is published in a form that includes 48 pages, all of which are coloring pages. It consists of two volumes and its appendices in the first volume are “Biladna” which means local and political news, “Arab countries and the world” which means Arab and international news, and “Economy of the country” which means financial and economic news, and the second volume consists of “Albilad Sport” means local and international sports news and “Pasfat Al-Bilad” means artistic, cultural, and various news, interspersed with the entertainment and contributions of readers.

Today, about 150 journalists work in Al-Bilad, distributed between Bahrain and correspondents around the world. In their work, journalists rely on the latest technologies in a newsroom equipped with equipment and the latest editing techniques. "Albilad" recently adopted a program for receiving, editing, and following up on the news of news agencies until they reach the printing stage.

It is worth noting that Albilad entered the world of the Internet on Friday 15 October 2008 to offer its readers a new service.
